OVERVIEW
Unlaced is an informational graphic that dives into the controversial discourse of ballet history. Outside of its external beauty, ballet has historically been known for its lack of inclusion, open-mindedness, and willingness to break generational normalities. The goal of this project was to visually inform viewers about the five influential ages of ballet, evolution of the pointe shoe, and how inclusivity in the industry has changed.
OBJECTIVE
Using bold graphics, vibrant colors, and blackletter-influenced typography, the goal of this graphic was to break outside of the softness ballet. It is targeted towards those who don't know the full truths about ballet's culture and narrative.
