OVERVIEW
“Explorers Cove” is an interactive exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium that immerses guests into various coastal biomes: a salt marsh, estuary, coastal ocean. At this gallery, visitors can interact with deep-sea animals such as cownose rays & lake sturgeons, view educational content, or just simply walk through the beautifully colored gallery.

OBJECTIVE
Working in collaboration with the client and a senior designer at Kraemer Design + Production, we created an engaging graphic identity, educational graphics, way-finding, wallpaper, and other signage.

CONCEPTUAL SKETCHES
PROCESS
The client wanted designs and patterns inspired by eclectic folk art and bold shapes. Each biome in the exhibit has a coordinating color: the ocean biome is blue, the marsh biome is purple and pink, and the estuary is green. I created patterns inspired by modern folk art and abstract ocean waves.
